Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti has opened its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening for the 2025/2026 academic session. Read on for requirements, step-by-step application instructions, cut-off marks and important notes.

EKSU’s screening exercise will commence on Wednesday, 13 August 2025. Note: There will be no examination for this year’s screening. Candidates who did not choose EKSU originally but scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME may apply provided they change their first-choice institution to EKSU on JAMB CAPS.

EKSU will give concessions to successful students from its Pre-Degree and JUPEB programmes (Senate-approved). Candidates awaiting SSSCE/WAEC results should not apply until their results are available.

Who Can Apply

For UTME Applicants

  • Must have scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME (candidates with 150+ who did not pick EKSU may change their first choice to EKSU on JAMB CAPS).
  • Must have uploaded O’Level results to JAMB CAPS (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB — not more than two sittings).
  • Must have the correct UTME subject combination for the chosen course.
  • Foreign applicants and candidates with disabilities should check the portal for specific instructions (some categories may be exempt from the screening test).

For Direct Entry (DE) Applicants

  • Must hold A’Level, OND, HND, NCE, JUPEB or a first degree and have applied for Direct Entry to EKSU through JAMB.
  • Diploma holders from other institutions should have at least an Upper Credit where required.
  • Note: EKSU accepts JUPEB (minimum 7 points) but does not accept IJMB for admission.
